Bug Description

Binary package hint: alsdorf

When i enable compositing within metacity via

$ gconftool-2 -s --type bool /apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager true

(of course you will have to disable compiz for this) and generate a popup with

$ notify-send "test" "this is a test"

(or with rhytmbox) I don't get a popup. When you disable compositing again

$ gconftool-2 -s --type bool /apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager false

you will have the notification messages back.

I'm not sure if this is related, but with the same setup, I get dialogues all the time.

notify-osd 0.8-0ubuntu3 works fine for me with metacity compositing. Is this still a problem for you?

@Chris
I retested this with the current versions and can't reproduce the problem any more. I'll mark this issue as invalid.
