Bug Description

[Description changed by Andreas Moog]
Binary package hint: network-manager

Connecting to a dsl connection with Network manager doesn't completely work. It appears to set up a ppp interface but it somehow hangs because it still appears like it's trying to connect. Connecting to the pppoe account using pppoeconf works but i have to get firefox out of offline mode and do the little change status trick for pidgin so i can connect.

Distribution: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch)

network-manager:
  Installed: 0.7~~svn20080720t224551+eni1-0ubuntu1

It seems to authenticate and all but the gui still looks like it's trying to connect and all the applications are defaulted to offline mode. Firefox 3, Evolution, Epiphany, Empathy, Pidgin etc.

It seems that from Version: 0.7~~svn20080818t061112+eni0-0ubuntu1 the DSL connection works.
