A few things:
 - you seem to remove a lot of changelog entries (compared to current version in karmic)
 - can you make it "(0.9.0-0ubuntu1) karmic" in debian/changelog?
 - there's no need to put your name in Maintainer/Uploaders, etc. - just run "update-maintainer" (from ubuntu-dev-tools) and you're done
 - why do you build-depends on cdbs?
 - you seem to have dropped the Depends on libxine1-ffmpeg, libxine1-x
 - from your debian/changelog entries it's not really clear which changes are upstream changes and which are packaging changes. Maybe you can take a look at "aptitude changelog gedit" for an example where it's a bit clearer?

I'll reassess the the necessary changes over the weekend and resubmit, The reason for the build being flagged as Jaunty, is due to the is the current that the package is targeted for, but that can be changed! I need to double check those dependency depends, and adjust as needed. so this is still a "work in progress" :)

Is there a reason this was set to Fix Committed? I haven't seen any upload of it to Karmic, however I see that the Debian maintainer has 0.9.4 ready & which will probably get into sid soon. When that happens it's probably best to turn this bug into a sync request or merge as appropriate.

To be honest, this whole process has been a complete waste of time. Because if you read the history above, then it's quite clear the process that has taken place. Quite frankly I'm getting a little tired of conflicting information, one person is telling me to do one thing, then another saying that the process is done a different way. So what is it to be?

At the time of this initial request, Michael Lamothe had not heard from the person who does the Debian updates. Hence my reasoning to attempt this way, its clear now that that there is a serious lack of communication between Ubuntu Sponsors. Or am I clearly failing in the interpretation of the procedures here, or are the procedures are flawed.

I originally had marked this as fix commited as I had provided the necessary .diff this was then commented on, so then I changed the status to confirmed. So when the status was altered by Onkar Shinde to wish list & fix commited. It is now incorrect again?

At this point (unless convinced otherwise) I'll mark as invalid and forget the whole bloody thing due to conflicting information...

When you can make up your collective minds as to what this should be then advise...

Thanks a lot for your work on this. I reduced the packaging diff somewhat.

When the new package turns up in Debian we can still merge it or sync as appropriate.

0.9.4-1 was forwarded to Debian about 2 weeks ago! so I'm not sure what happens there! but I'll keep an eye on this. I've not done a merge/sync so this will be something new to learn!
