Bug Description
Binary package hint: grub2
I have lubuntu 10.10, grub2 cannot detect my Windows 7 partition and also doesn't show it in the start screen.
I solved manually installing "os-prober":
# sudo apt-get install os-prober
# sudo update-grub2
so maybe it should be added to the default installation.

grub-common Recommends it (which I think is the correct setting), and flavours other than Lubuntu install it by default. Has Lubuntu turned off Recommends by default or something? In any case this seems like a Lubuntu installation bug, so reassigning to lubuntu-meta in lieu of any better ideas on where to put it.
