hdaps not working on ThinkPad X200s

Bug Description

attempts to load the hdaps, thinkpad_ec and tp_smapi modules result in these error messages respectively:

[169309.680451] hdaps: supported laptop not found!
[169309.680458] hdaps: driver init failed (ret=-19)!
[169372.425498] thinkpad_ec: cannot claim io ports 0x1600-0x161f
[169377.713423] thinkpad_ec: cannot claim io ports 0x1600-0x161f
[169377.731131] tp_smapi: Unknown symbol thinkpad_ec_unlock
[169377.731532] tp_smapi: Unknown symbol thinkpad_ec_invalidate
[169377.732524] tp_smapi: Unknown symbol thinkpad_ec_read_row
[169377.733107] tp_smapi: Unknown symbol thinkpad_ec_lock

This is under current Jaunty alpha.

What I expected to happen was hdaps to load, and my laptop disk to be afforded bump protection.

Is this something that is likely to be fixed in ubuntu, or should it be fixed by creating a PPA
and compiling from source
