Touchpad is being recognized as generic mouse

I installed Ubuntu 22.04.1 yesterday in a Thinkpad E14 Gen 4 that came with windows 11. After having a problem with the wifi recognition, that I could actually fix, I had another problem. I was installing some apps (Telegram desktop and TexEditor) and then realized that the scrolling of the touchpad wasn't working. Now after consulting https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection#In_case_Touchpad_features_like_scrolling.2C_tapping.2C_etc._do_not_work_at_all. and running cat /proc/bus/input/devices in the terminel, I found out that the Touchpad is being recognized as a Generic Mouse.
