Wish: libgphoto2 2.4.0 for Gusty: Testers needed

2.4.0-2ubuntu1~ppa~lure4 works fine with my usage pattern: Downloading/Deleting files.

You tell us to add your sources.list in order to install the newer libgphoto, but I see there are many more other programs in your repo. Isn't it better to provide us a link to the actual deb package you are offering, because some will not feel safe to add extra repos when using GGibbon, which is risky enough already.

Other programs in my repo are older test packages that will not be installed on your system as they have been already accepted into gutsy. You can get packages directly through this links:

I +1'd the original bug, +1'ing this one too.

AFAIK ubuntu packages doesn't contain fixes from Debian's 2.4.0-3 package (see http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/libg/libgphoto2/current/changelog ):

 libgphoto2 (2.4.0-3) unstable; urgency=low

   * debian/libgphoto2-2.postinst: creates device nodes with 0664 mode so
     productId, vendorId and such kind of details can be read (closes: #440763)

We can't just sync it like that. This needs to be merged.

Also please open a NEW sponsorship bug. This one is fixed already, we have 2.4.0 in Gutsy.
