I can confirm it, in a newly installed ubuntu karmic, after full update.

This four package names displayed in vertical:

language-pack-gnome-zh
language-pack-gnome-zh-hans
gnome-user-guide-zh
openoffice.org-l10n-zh-cn

The others displayed correctly.

Add:

After using the language-selector to update the local language package, this four package, which is displayed in a vertical line can not be installed.

But the next time you run language-selector (the first time all other locale language package are updated), this four package names displayed correctly, and can be update.
