Bug Description

Binary package hint: konqueror

When selecting text from an html page( in konqueror or akregator, probably other apps ), the cursor keeps changing from 'I' to arrow on each character....makes the text selection quite annoying :) This is most probably from the html renderer kpart, which I don't know the package name.

Using kubuntu 8.10 with kde 4.1.3

try to read long web pages where you mark the words you're reading by selecting the text( so I don't get lost ) ;-) I called it funny behavior the first times, hehe....then the flicker becomes annoying :-)

Anywayzzz...this looks like a misbehavior and not a feature request( or I'm getting wrong the importance classification ).

Another question is, should it be me to forward to bugs.kde.org, or is it an automatic process?

Hi there,
We are in the process of closing wishlist items that have already been reported at KDE. Don't worry, your issue still is being tracked at KDE's bug tracker at: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191158 . It's just that Kubuntu currently does not have the manpower necessary to take this feature on ourselves. We will receive this functionality once KDE implements it in one of their releases.
