Bug Description

Binary package hint: intel-gpu-tools

Changelogs:

Latest Debian Changelog:

intel-gpu-tools (1.0.2-1) unstable; urgency=low

   * New upstream version 1.0.2
   * debian/control: Bump to Standards-Version 3.8.3 (no changes needed)
   * debian/control: Build-dep on libdrm-intel1 >= 2.4.6
   * debian/control: Add myself as uploader

Latest Ubuntu Changelog:

intel-gpu-tools (1.0.1+git20090626-0ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low

  * Merge with Debian. Remaining Ubuntu changes:
    - Update build depends for Ubuntu
    - copyright: Add mention of GPL v2 use by ltmain.sh and other build
      system files.
  * Install the ChangeLog with the package.

The changes in Debian can be safely incorporated in Ubuntu as there was a new upstream release packaged, and the testing package also builds fine in a lucid chroot:

dpkg-deb: building package `intel-gpu-tools' in `../intel-gpu-tools_1.0.2-1_i386.deb'.
 dpkg-genchanges >../intel-gpu-tools_1.0.2-1_i386.changes
dpkg-genchanges: including full source code in upload
dpkg-buildpackage: full upload (original source is included)
I: Copying back the cached apt archive contents
I: unmounting dev/pts filesystem
I: unmounting proc filesystem
I: cleaning the build env
I: removing directory /var/cache/pbuilder/build//8798 and its subdirectories
I: Current time: Wed Dec 23 22:40:03 EST 2009
I: pbuilder-time-stamp: 1261626003

You wrote that Debian's changes can be safely incorporated in Ubuntu. Then you have to do a merge (with keeping the Ubuntu changes). I found no reason for dropping the Ubuntu changes, especially for

  * Install the ChangeLog with the package.

Please convert this bug to a merge request and resubscribe ubuntu-universe-sponsors, when there is a patch to sponsor.

No need for a merge just because of the upstream Changelog.

Sorry for the confusion there, so what should I do here? Are you guys
going to sync it or should I provide a debdiff for merging.

Regards,
