Bug Description

Binary package hint: hdaps-utils

The root cause of this problem might be in the kernel package, but I'm not sure. I will file the bug report based on what I see.

Steps to reproduce:
  1. `modprobe hdaps`
  2. `hdaps-gl`
  3. tilt laptop back and see that virtual laptop is tilting to the right
  4. tilt laptop to the right and see that virtual laptop is tilting forward

The reason why I bring this up is because I had automatic rotation (called active rotate on windows, I think) working so that when the laptop was in tablet mode, it would reorient itself automatically as I rotated it. It was a very handy feature.

This problem was worked around on Hardy via an extra kernel module argument (options hdaps invert=6) but that was with the 'hdaps_ec' kernel module, which does not seem to exist anymore. The 'hdaps' module does not like any invert value above 1 (only 0 or 1 are allowed).

This error is on Intrepid Ibex (8.10) RC, up to date.

Affected packages:
  linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic 2.6.27-7.14
  hdaps-utils 0.1-1.1

Thank you very much for all of your work! Intrepid is looking very good!
