Bug Description

Binary package hint: hal

I see a lot of these in syslog:

Jul 24 09:41:23 perseus hal-ipw-killswitch-linux: error: org.freedesktop.Hal.NoSuchProperty: No property net.interface on device with id /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pci_8086_4230_logicaldev_input

corresponding to my ipw4965 interface:

03:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN Network Connection [8086:4230] (rev 61)

That device is misbehaving (bug 250139) but I'm not sure whether that's related. It's normal for the interface to go away when the kill switch is activated, and hal-ipw-killswitch-linux probably doesn't need to log an error about it.
