Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-session

Startup Applications Bug

Steps to reproduce
1. Open every application
2. Open every preference utility
3. Open every administration utility
4. Open Startup Applications (gnome-session-properties)
5. In the Options tab check "automatically remember running applications" and click "automatically remember running applications"
6. shutdown/restart/logout+login

Result: Not all applications were remembered
Expected result: all applications should be remembered. The perfect solution would be to display the newly added applications, or show you your current session and allow the user to check each box you want to start up with the session.

Thanks, but that's not a gnome-session issue. gnome-session can only restore applications that connect to the session manager, save it's own state file and tell the session manager how to restore it. If some applications don't work, then that's an application bug, and you should open a bug report for that application

Changed in gnome-session (Ubuntu):
