Still affected by bug #524308 -- the checkbox toggle is not shown. But is otherwise functionally and visually identical to the GtkStatusIcon version.

thank you for your work there, some comments:

* should the category be APP_INDICATOR_CATEGORY_HARDWARE there?
* you might want to change the NOTE from code comment to bug comment when sending the change to GNOME
* should perhaps the icon change to an attention one instead of the blinking?

otherwise good work the change seems good to be sent to GNOME, not that the gnome-bluetooth maintainer will probably want the change to be in git format applying to current trunk
