Please merge fontconfig 2.8.0-2 from Debian testing (main)

Lucid needs a fontconfig update:

A fontconfig vs. defoma issue is causing other packages (e.g. unixcw) to FTBFS in Lucid. That problem has been fixed upsteam in Debian as http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=560252 .

Agreed. Please fix this bug.

I have spoken with Alexander Sack and I will take a look at doing the work for merging from squeeze, so I'm assigning myself this bug.

    - fix buildd bustage by ignoring errors in postinst and prerm (taken

      we remove conf.d links for hinting, subpixel and bitmap configs

      and associtated po files.
  * purge debconf database when upgrading from previous versions.
