wrong md5sum

I can confirm the md5 mismatch here on Dapper:

The Flash plugin is NOT installed.

How can I remove the md5 check (as workaround)?

There really isnt a workaround flash changed the tarball but kept the name the same so ubuntu finds that tarball but the contents are not the same we fixed this on feisty and gutsy im looking into if we are able to fix this without problems in dapper.

I will work on this today should be easy fix ill keep this bug updated on what happens.

this is not a bug. dapper install of flashplugin-nonfree is not failing, please remove and purge your version of flashpluggin-nonfree and and try to reinstall, it looks like you dont have backports enabled for the fixed flashplugin-nonfree package.

Get:40 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com dapper-backports/multiverse flashplugin-nonfree 9.0.31.0.1ubuntu1~dapper1 [15.0kB]

Or you do have backports enabled but were you upgrading, or installing as installing works here in a dapper chroot as you see from logs (oops forgot to post them)

this is very little installed in chroot and it seems to install fine so it might be that you hae olderversion laying around or a website glitch when you tried it.

Is md5sum only error in this package? I think, when this install proces
dont finish flashplugin installation, I think apt-get may say error, or
dont?

+1 ACK by me, have a core-dev sponsor it into -backports and poke an archive admin.

Pavel, since you didnt give me any errors or logs i can only go by what i see and that is all it is is md5sum mismatch this was fixed in gutsy and feisty but we didnt fix edgy or dapper. but now we have a dapper fix

I always talk about the same. By me is in gutsy always wrong md5sum, and
wrong is correct end of installation when plugin is not installed.

The latest feisty flash is Version 9.0.48.0.0ubuntu1~7.04.1 i cant remember what repo its in it may be feisty-updates but i fixed that months ago
