Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

In Ubuntu Intrepid then whenever I open firefox it opens a firefox window which covers the panels and doesn't have the window border. The same happens when opening links from other programs (e.g. pidgin) in a new tab of an already open window. This does not happen if I am able to click the link and immediately change to the firefox window before the link is opened (it takes a few seconds).

(18:50:41) crdlb: fluteflute: that is a compiz problem
(18:51:28) crdlb: fluteflute: compiz-fusion-plugins-main provides a Workarounds plugin
(18:51:43) crdlb: which you can disable (or just disable 'legacy fullscreen support' within it)

Changed in firefox:
status: New → Invalid

I can confirm this issue. It happens randomly for me, so I don't know if there is a way to trigger this bug.

I too can confirm this bug. I am new to Compiz - How can I access the Workarounds plugin settings?
