A workaround is to use the IP address instead the servername and it will let you set up your account.

Although putting in the IP address stops it crashing, I still get an error (the same as was in the original log):

Authentication Failed.
ProcessNetworkProfile:MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND

... would you like a new bug?

I can confirm this behaviour as well.

Can the "duplicate" status on this bug be removed unless you're still convinced that it is?

This bug is resolved in 10.04.

I am running 10.04, and I have exactly the same error
If I try to setup a new account, it gives the error:

Authentication Failed.

Hi,

I have the same issue here using 10.10 Maverick (64 bti). under lucid it worked fine.

At 10.10, with Evolution 2.30.3-1ubunt7 and evolution-mapi 0.30.3-1ubuntu1, I still have the problem. The terminal output is exactly the same with Johannes Daprà's.

On System Log Viewer, I have following error message:
kernel: [ 9153.834011] evolution[4822]: segfault at 30 ip 00007f70dc979a75 sp 00007fff78a32980 error 4 in libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0.2200.0[7f70dc764000+412000]

Evolution authenticates with Exchange and brings a pop-up window, where there are 2 options (which really exist in our company GAL). I select the correct one, then Evolution crashes: Segmentation fault
