Bug Description
Eucalyptus is a complex product and this complexity is exposed to users as their tools need complex configuration. E.g. is s3 dns buckets turned on or off; what host is the s3 controller on, what host is the ec2 controller on.
It would be great if there was an API call we could make that would return this information in a machine format, ideally anonymously - so that someone could simply point their client at this API call, and the client software could autoconfigure from that point on. If this already exists, I couldn't find it :(.

There can be many many ways to achieve this, but one such concrete proposal is to add additional HTTP headers in the HTML response to the Eucalyptus Web UI that advertises the SOAP endpoints of S3 and EC2.
Those endpoints (or additional anonymously- accessible endpoint) can then offer additional API calls to discover other configuration information.
