Bug Description
I am using ubuntu 8.0 the hardy heron released April 2008
i was using ubuntu 7.0, but while upgrading to ubuntu 8.01, power went off.
After power was back, i started the pc expecting the system to show me the encryption line, where i type my password to proceed to the username screen.
Instead it just takes 8 minutes showing the "edubuntu screen" and does not display the encryption line, neither does it show the username screen. it then displays a command line including the word "type help for a list of supported commands"

A mid-upgrade power reset is likely to cause problems no matter what you do. As this isn't exactly a bug but rather an accident, I'm closing it. If there's something reproducible here feel free to reopen the bug.
