I can't see any licensing term, the only thing that appears near the icons is "Here are some icons that some people have made out there for Dillo:" .

The reply is this

  AFAIU, those files are being distributed since a long time with
a GPL2 license in the source file (*.h). Now, about the legalese,
the sets from John Grantham and myself, I'm sure they're GPL. The
others, I'm not sure as IANAL.

  I was told by contributors that there were no problems.

What do you think Daniel ?

This looks like a decent change, but not at this point in the Gutsy cycle. If it's a contributed icon, you need to get license/permission from the author of the icon, not the upstream. It sounds to me like what you got from them was pretty squishy anyway.

Unsubbing UUS until it's sorted. Please update debian/copyright appropriately and resubmit for Hardy.
