Chromium .desktop file is not using translations

Binary package hint: chromium-browser

I've noticed that the desktop entry for Chromium under Applications > Internet > Chromium Browser is not translated, since there are only translations for the 'GenericName' key, whereas the one used on the desktop is 'Name':

I could probably organize translations from the Ubuntu translation teams to provide translations in many languages. Would someone collect them in a branch or accept a branch containing them if I provided them?

Name[ca]=Navegador Web Chromium
Comment[ca]=Accediu a Internet

Sure, please collect the translations, i'd be happy to merge them in the packaging (but grouped, not one by one)

I've organized a wiki page to collect translations at:

I've also notified translators.

If that's ok, I'll be pinging you guys to fetch them on NonLanguagePackDeadline on the 16th of September as per the Maverick schedule.

merged the first batch, I've annoted the wiki. see my comments for 'fr' and 'bn'.

It will 1st be visible in the daily builds (starting to tomorrow). If it's correct, and once we have more translations, i'll merge everything into the release branches.
