Bug Description

Binary package hint: brasero

I am running Karmic on a 64 bits Acer Aspire AWXMi. When I try to burn a .toc file to an empty disc I can select the .toc file , but brasero says there is no empty disc in the tray. I have tryed to re-insert the empty disc, but brasero keeps telling me there is not empty disc in the tray.
Karmic does recognise the cd because it is being mounted as an empty disc on the desktop.

Thanks for your report, could you run brasero from the command line as: brasero --brasero-media-debug --debug &> brasero-debug.txt perform the operation to reproduce the bug and attach the resulting file to the report?. Thanks in advance

I will do that when I come home from work. I have been looking for a
debug argument on brasero, but could not find it. I'll post the
results as soon as possible.

I did the following:
1. Start brasero with you're command ( not with the --debug argument,
because it segfaulted right away)
2. Select Burn Image and selected the disk image
3. Insert the empty disc, which is displayed and mounted on the desktop.
Brasero tells me there is no writable cd inserted. The inserted cd is a CD-R.
4. Cancel the burn window and close brasero

In the debug file I notice a access denied (toegang geweigerd) and it
looks like brasero cannot read the headers of the disc.

I did the following:
There are 5 Toc-Files on a USB-Stick.
I Can't open anyone as first. Brasero told me that all the Files have 0-Byte, but it isn't so.
Sunddely, now I can juse 2 Files to burn. The first and the last file from the stick to CD. I have made nothing befor!
After that, I have close Brasero, then I have the same problem befor again. I can't juse any file.

In www.ubuntuusers.de I habe seen, that may people have problems with Brasero, but noboddy can help there realy.

Sometimes Brasero works, sometimes not. Why, when I didn't know that but what can I to do that B. brun the other 3 Files?

perhaps you can answer in german Thanks, but english goes too.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of brasero is available in both Lucid and Maverick and we are wondering if this is still reproducible in any of those versions, May you please test and give us of feedback about it? Thanks in advance.
