Binary package hint: banshee
Wish list:

It would be great if Banshee would fade the audio to 0 when the program exits or when playback stops, and fade in when audio is played or resumed. Amarok and Rhythmbox have this feature.

I'd love to see this too, after having used rhythmbox and taking a look at banshee, stopping and starting music seems sudden and harsh in comparison. I'll marked as wishlist. I'd love to read the FeatureRequest page on the wiki for more information but the wiki appears to be down.

This is the only thing (small as it is) that Rhythmbox has over Banshee. If Banshee is to become the stock loaded player in Natty Narwhal, they have to make sure it atleast has all the same features as Rhythmbox other wise it would be a step back in that small area and people would be wanting it very badly.

Today I was actually amazed by not having this feature in such feature-rich music player.
It hurts my ear if I suddenly want to stop the song and start one from YouTube for example. Without the fadeout that is. Though I could make the fadeout with the volume changer.

The lack of a fade out option in stop, pause and seek is what keeps me from using Banshee as my default music player. I would love to see it added.
