Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
Debian has fixed bashism in debian/rules and has incorporated ubuntu
changes. So ubuntu changes can be dropped.

What about this change "Remove superfluous heartbeat loop from the build"? Has it been applied upstream in Debian? Is it no longer needed? If it is still needed and has not been applied in Debian, we will have to merge this package.
