Bug Description

Binary package hint: avant-window-navigator

After installing avant-window-navigator, only the basic launcher/task-manager applet is available. I couldn't find any package that offers some basic applets, so I think we should include one and link it as recommended.

I could help with packaging it.

I agree with this, but the applets to include have to be carefully chosen. There are many from upstream's package that don't work for me.

Which applets don't work for you ? Some applets had well-know issues.

We could just put them all in a multiverse package, user beware, couldn't we? Or at least a "core" and "extras-may-break-your-machine" pair of packages.

In the actual state of my work, there is 3 deb :
- main : Stable C applets
- python : Stable Python applets (because some users install python applets manually, it's usefull to be able to remove them all)
- extra : Applets with issues.

The ubuntu-universe-sponsors team usually doesn't deal with NEW packages.

Can you tag this bug as needs-packaging and set to In Progress?

Awn-extras-applets is now part of Debian, it need to be merge from Debian to enter Ubuntu.
