Bug Description

Installing or upgrading "hylafax-server" package fails due to it being configured before "hylafax-client" is configured.

[TEST CASE]
=============
1. Install hylafax-server (along with automatically selected dependencies) - 'apt-get install hylafax-server'

Current Result
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of hylafax-server:

 hylafax-server depends on hylafax-client (= 2:6.0.3-2ubuntu1); however:

  Package hylafax-client is not configured yet.

dpkg: error processing hylafax-server (--configure):

 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

Expected result
Package should install without error.

[Work Around]
==========
Use aptitude - 'aptitude install hylafax-server'

I can confirm this on an up-to-date Karmic install when trying to install "hylafax-server" package. It seems that "hylafax-server" requires "hylafax-client" to be installed & configured before it is installed. When installing "hylafax-server", "hylafax-server" gets configured before "hylafax-client" has been installed/configured.

This seems to be the important part of the error log:
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of hylafax-server:
 hylafax-server depends on hylafax-client (= 2:6.0.3-2ubuntu1); however:
  Package hylafax-client is not configured yet.
dpkg: error processing hylafax-server (--configure):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

Note that if "hylafax-client" is installed & then "hylafax-server" is installed separately after that, everything is installed fine & there is no error.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - Lucid Lynx. I believe the workaround is easy & that the regression potential in upgrading a core component such as 'apt' far outweighs any potential gains that may be had by updating apt to fix this bug in Karmic.
