importance: | Undecided → Low |
I can confirm this on an up-to-date Karmic install when trying to install "hylafax-server" package. It seems that "hylafax-server" requires "hylafax-client" to be installed & configured before it is installed. When installing "hylafax-server", "hylafax-server" gets configured before "hylafax-client" has been installed/ configured.
This seems to be the important part of the error log:
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of hylafax-server:
hylafax-server depends on hylafax-client (= 2:6.0.3-2ubuntu1); however:
Package hylafax-client is not configured yet.
dpkg: error processing hylafax-server (--configure):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Note that if "hylafax-client" is installed & then "hylafax-server" is installed separately after that, everything is installed fine & there is no error.
