Bug Description

I'm using Kubuntu Gutsy and when I click "Manager repositories" via menu or via button, adept stay in deadlock for a while without display nothing and then resume the normal behaviour.

This is the output:

/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/apt/__init__.py:18: FutureWarning: apt API not stable yet
warnings.warn("apt API not stable yet", FutureWarning)
QMutex::lock: Deadlock detected in thread -1210054464

P.S. adept manager version: 2.1.3ubuntu17.1

I've noticed that this strange behaviour only occours when I launch adept_manager via sudo: if I launch it via gksudo or kdesudo it works fine!

I configured the same problem on Kubuntu Gutsy. All packages are up to date.

I think it's a bug present only in Gutsy, if fact with Hardy the problem doesn't present anymore!
