This bug is tagged needs-packaging which identifies it as a request for a new package in Ubuntu. As a part of the managing needs-packaging bug reports specification, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/Specs/NeedsPackagingBugs, all needs-packaging bug reports have Wishlist importance. Subsequently, I'm setting this bug's status to Wishlist.

It's in Debian already, and I guess it should get into Ubuntu soon (https://edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libslab already exists).

Thanks Artur, I wanted to do this tomorrow but now I don't have to anymore. But I guess this should go into main, so control-center can be build against it instead of its own private code copy.

Hi,

As we are still during the autosync period from Debian Testing, this bug is of no use, so I'll close it.
If the sync, for whatever reason, is not done in a reasonable amount of time, please reopen this bug report.

Thanks,
Fabrice

The package is in testing since one month (Oct 22) but has not been synced yet. As I don't know the internals of the automatic sync code, I wonder whether this is normal.

I don't trust autosync for NEW packages, but OK. We need wait until end of DebianImportFreeze.

Reopening the bug:

<cjwatson> please reopen it and feel free to quote me. the sync won't happen (semi-)automatically because it overrides binaries from another modified source package.
