Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04
boule%

-- default ubuntu release, no re-spin of any kind, under gnome...

-- trackpad buttons integrated into lower corners of pad.
-- when attempting to drag (requires two fingers)
-- assume:
-- drag finger used on pad to drag.
-- click finger on button at bottom corner (left or right)

if the drag finger is ever raised, the cursor immediately jumps to the extreme bottom corner nearest the click finger. The cursor seems to jump to those locations even without raising the drag finger at times.

almost impossible to drag, often end up minimizing all windows, because the jump to the bottom left corner where that button is placed. problem is severe enough to be unusable by mere mortals.

I'm particularly patient... one can, being very careful, and in an error prone manner, drag by ensuring that the click finger only contacts the pad to click, and immediately raise thereafter.
This movement is unnatural (folks tend to rest their finger on the button while finding the precise location.)

suggestion: de-sensitize area around buttons.
