Bug Description

I've just upgraded my ubuntu on my laptop from 7.10 to 8.04 and my wifi stoped working, upon inspection i get this in my dmesg:

[ 55.547036] iwl3945: Microcode SW error detected. Restarting 0x82000008.
[ 55.547051] iwl3945: Error Reply type 0x00000005 cmd REPLY_SCAN_CMD (0x80) seq 0x4418 ser 0x0000004B
[ 56.539945] iwl3945: Can't stop Rx DMA.

this is on the latest release (as of today) of 8.04 release canidate. I'm using kernel 2.6.24-16-generic on a Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop.

dmesg:
http://paste.ubuntu-nl.org/63641/

lspci -v:
http://paste.ubuntu-nl.org/63642/

lsusb -v:
http://paste.ubuntu-nl.org/63643/

is there anyway to revert to using ipw3945 for now ? since the only way i can get wifi is to boot 2.6.22 with ipw3945..

Tried using "linux-backports-modules-hardy" and iwl3945 version 1.2.25 from it, same error..

Upon checking in a CLI configuration (no network manager) the microcode SW error happens as soon as i type "iwlist eth1 scan" before making an actual connection.
