Bug Description

Zombie gave me a link to a new script which worked initially.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=516649
The script worked but after moving the computer to another room I was unable to get onto the internet.
I seemed to have connection (73%) in the other room even though I could not get on the internet.
I put the computer back so that I could place the adapter on top of the netgear router and tried to test it.
I get the screen to type my pass phrase but I get no connection...0%
I have tried a few options in the router for the frequency but no go.

PAST link->

I am using Gutsy and a WUSB54G (Linksys wirless usb network adapter)
I have installed ndis-wrapper and the driver without incident.
I have tried all ( no really changing of passwords auto passphrase no WEP etc) the combinations of password encryption between the router and my adapter.
I can login to the netgear router CG814W.
the adapter is sending but not recieving (0%).
I can use the adapter from another XP machine.

in short everything seems to have gone off without a hitch but I am not able get to the router.
