Bug Description

Mid January started the ghc6 6.6.1 -> 6.8.2 transition (see https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-motu/2008-January/003019.html).

It's currently almost completed. It got slowed down recently as some package needed to go through NEW which are build-dependencies for other packages which in turn are build-dependencies for others.

Following packages still need to transition (I hope I don't missed a package):

- currently unmetdeps but fixed packages are available in unstable:
  pandoc
  haskell-anydbm
  haskell-configfile
  haskell-hsh
  xmonad (perhaps also xmonad-contrib)
haskell-hsql-* (NEW packages split from haskell-hsql)

- changelog mentions update for ghc 6.8.x so should probably be synced as well
  hg-buildpackage
  darcs-buildpackage
  dfsbuild
  srcinst
  lhs2tex
  missingpy
  washngo

- currently unmetdeps but no fixed package in unstable yet
  hs-plugins
  hat
  haskell-cabal
  hdbc-missingh

Imho a general FFe for all haskell packages, which have currently not yet
transitioned to the new ghc6 (on basis of the source package, not on basis of
build failures) would be the right thing, since we certainly won't have
regressions to the current state (not installable at all).

Other opinions?

Cheers,
     Stefan.
