Version: Linux Mint 4.0, My "00:04.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10)" is not being used by the network manager. The Linux Mint Live disk, will not use it ether. When I manualy load the module "sudo modprobe 8139too" nothing happens same with "sudo modprobe 8139cp". Do you dual-boot this system with Windows? If yes, can you check suggestion from bug 156496?

Can you attach output of "dmesg" and "lscpi -vv" commands?

No, I do not dual boot with windows. Sorry I uninstalled Ubuntu 7.10 and installed Linux Mint 4.0 to see if it would work (because of video codecs and no network connection) but it still does not work. So here are the outputs of those commands.

This bug is way overdue to be closed due to Mint having moved well past 4.0 by now
