Upgrade wikis to Moin version 1.5 (or 1.6)

Bug Description

Moin 1.5 has many improved features over Moin 1.3 (currently used on the Ubuntu wikis), including some vital usability features such as a WYSIWYG editor. The help.ubuntu.com wiki would really benefit from these features, so we should try and think about upgrading ASAP!

Note: the change involves a change to the theme api, so the Ubuntu-specific themes will need to be tweaked in order for them to work properly. I've practised on the theme for help.ubuntu.com, and have made a version of that theme for 1.5 - it is quite easy.

We've upgraded several of the wikis and decided that's enough.

Matthew - neither of the Ubuntu wikis (help.u.c and wiki.u.c) have been upgraded. As such, you should mark this bug as "rejected" (not "fixed") if you disagree that they should be upgraded, and also it would be polite to explain the reasons, and why they outweigh the reasoning in the bug report.

And what about ubpgrading to MoinMoin 1.6? It would fix annoying behavior in https://launchpad.net/ubuntu-website/+bug/80873

While I don't know anything about MoinMoin but wikipedia lists moinmoin at 1.5.7 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moinmoin . It would really make things a lot lot easier for wiki contributors like me who would like to contribute more. As it is it takes quite a bit of time tweaking after writing anything up. +1 atleast for having the GUI tool integrated.

You are right, latest released MoinMoin is 1.5.7. The 1.6 branch is in development and was not released yet. I used to believe it was released.

Debian Wiki is running moinmoin 1.5 (see http://wiki.debian.org/DebianWiki/EditorGuide#head-87f57008d07c6dc9b0d203e1a817ca31f82b911e ) and thanks to a newer version the ubuntu website bug #174039 does not appear there.
This is one more good reason to upgrade.
