Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
After running Karmic beta install, I get told that the system will now reboot.
The CD ejects, but then the screen just keeps flashing - sometimes with the desktop background image, others just the LCD backlight coming on and off. Eventually, I get bored and turn it off manually. This behaviour does not repeat after a normal shutdown, and everything else appears to have been installed successfully.
This happened after selecting install Ubuntu, rather than try Ubuntu from the boot prompt (if this makes a difference).
Attached is my syslog from the install, unfortunately, it appears not to want to let me attach another file, so I can't attach the partman file.

"This happened after selecting install Ubuntu, rather than try Ubuntu from the boot prompt (if this makes a difference)."
Confirmed that this also happens after direct install from the boot prompt
