Bug Description

Binary package hint: kontact

I have the language set to Spanish in my desktop. In the Kontact summary view I see some %n when I should be seeing a number. For example when there are no special dates in the coming days, the message in English reads 'No special dates pending within the next 31 days'; when I set the language to Spanish %n is displayed instead of the number 31. Screenshot attached.

I'm using Kubuntu 9.04 but also noticed this in 8.10.

This should be just fine in 9.04, see: https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/kdepim/+pots/kontact/es/+translate?batch=10&show=all&search=special+dates+pending

Intrepid obviously shipped with the wrong translation, but I am wondering why Jaunty still shows this issue for you.

Maybe the language pack was not updated since the translation was fixed:

Can you please test the bug using the latest language packs from this PPA ?

Fixed it:
1) use latest official language-pack-kde-es
2) KDE_LANG=es kontact
3) Issue appears
4) Upgrade language-pack-kde-es from the ubuntu-langpack PPA
5) Issue disappears

Please do a bump comment if this doesn't get fixed within the next month or so, I tend to lose track on translation issues way to easily :)
