Bug Description

I'm using Ubuntu 8.04
This problem is related to translations.
The problem can be reproduce in both Firefox and Epiphany

I have tested the language preferences for the browser and "ast" is the first option.

http://www.cs.tut.fi/cgi-bin/run/~jkorpela/lang.cgi

Accept-Language: ast,en-us;q=0.7,en;q=0.3
ast 1
en-us 0.7
en 0.3

Maybe the server hosting start.ubuntu.com is lacking the language definition for Asturian.

I can confirm this bug.
I did review the Language in Preferences and the general.useragent.locale preference, and not works :(
Help us, please.
Thanks very much!

I have notified the system administrators about the problem. I don't think we've had a ast translation before. To be honest, I think our translation process followed the iso 639-2 standard so was kind of surprised when I saw it show up.

Yes, I don't think we've had an Asturian translation before, but Asturian -one of the languages spoken in Spain- has definitely got an ISO code defined in the standard -> http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php

You are right. The web server configuration was not updated/fix.

We should ping one of the Ubuntu webserver sysadmin. Otherwise it wount be fixed.

When solving this bug please also take a look at bug #438088

I can now access http://start.ubuntu.com/9.10/index.html.ast and it appears translated.

It seems this has been fixed. Iñigo, Marcos, could you please confirm that?
