The dbus contacts API did not get completed for Karmic, we only did the python API.

As Rodney points out, for next cycle of GNOME, evolution-data-server is moving to dbus, and that will offer a complete contacts API, not only for couchdb (when evo-couchdb is installed), but also for other contact storages, so we might want to have that one?

Marking as Invalid as Rodrigo has pointed out that GNOME will have a contacts API. If we decide to do this for some reason in the future we can create a new bug.
