Bug Description

Launchpad supports buildbots (PPA) and subversion. Why not put those two together and allow issuing a build task for sourcecode present in the subversion repository?
The next step would be to allow live builds after every checkin.

Possibly related to bug #202671.

You could have your code imported from svn to bzr and then you'd be able to use any bzr facilities that became available. https://launchpad.net/+code-imports/+new

This is a huge feature that we've been working on since December last year, and it's nearly complete. It will allow users to select a source branch and a recipe and kick off a build in a PPA. Some more info on the Soyuz aspect of this is here: https://dev.launchpad.net/Soyuz/Specs/BuilddGeneralisation
