Bug Description

I attempted to link a local bug to an upstream bug which failed:
"Launchpad doesn't know what kind of bug tracker this URL is pointing at."

The local bug number is: #74349
The remote bug URL is: http://bugs.mysql.com/24788

http://bugs.mysql.com says it is running the same code as http://bugs.php.net. We don't currently support this bug tracker type.

When I logged this report, I was unsure if this was a malone bug or a launchpad one, could you clarify this?

Secondly, I'm happy to look at some other trackers and tweak one to make it track the status if that's appropriate.

Happy to get my hands dirty, but some guidance to where I may find the code would be appreciated :-)

Changed in malone:
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
status: Unconfirmed → Confirmed

Is there anything I can do to help get these bug trackers supported?

It is very important that the ability to add MySQL bugwatch urls be added. Updating bugwatch statuses and importances automatically is not currently important.

There are three different bug trackers that I know of that use the php bugtracker software. They use the following urls for referencing an individual bug:

MySQL bugs:
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=27430

PHP bugs:
http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=27430

Shared system for tracking PEAR and PECL bugs. If you type in the bug id that belongs to the other project, you get redirected to the correct bug url for the project.
http://pear.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=6000
http://pecl.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=5000
