reassigning bugs to different pillar types is hard? impossible?

Bug Description

See for instance https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/603020 - a user has filed an Ubuntu bug on bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad, but we can't change it to be in Ubuntu, we can only do '+affects ubuntu' and 'invalid in Launchpad' - but even keeping the fact it was filed on Launchpad itself at one point in time is uninteresting.

If one could delete tasks this wouldn't matter as much.

lastly, if this is a dupe, I'm sorry, but one didn't leap out at me.
