Bug Description

wgrant reported on IRC that the https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu page is too slow. From the source code on edge:

<!-- at least 97 queries issued in 10.65 seconds -->

This should be cut down to < 2 seconds, or ideally < 1.

Agreed, here's a firebug report on the queries that bugs.launchpad.net makes and how long they take. Hope that's helpful here

Do you have a statement log such as an OOPS?

@Stuart:
Will the queries that I provided be helpful in identifying the "hot-spots" that take too long

I'm closing this because its not a current timeout bug and we're ratcheting everything down from the worst pages on. We will come back to it when the data shows this page as a key contender.

This should really be "Won't Fix"+"Low importance"; the issue itself still exists and remains valid, just that it's not high on the Radar.

It really is invalid. *if* it shows up again, we'll open a new bug. Won't fix is a statement that we won't fix it - not true. *If* there is an issue, we'll get to it. Low importance would indicate performance isn't a priority - it is. Again - we're being data driven here.
