ubuntu-co.org services down

Bug #137184 reported by Fabián Rodríguez

Loco Team Webhosting

Bug Description

ubuntu-co.org hosting had been previously setup and was redirecting to the Colombian loco team web page.

wiki.ubuntu-co.org was also provided, all part of the standard loco teams hosting.

A few members have recently reported those services are now unavailable although DNS resolves.

Thanks you for looking into this and letting us know when/how this can be resolved.

Please stop by #canonical-sysadmin if you wish to move existing wiki.ubuntu-co.org content to the canonical machines.

I have gone a few time to canonical-sysadmin without much luck. Is there any other way to resolve this ?

I'd give them some extra time since they were busy with the Gutsy release.

I'd like to add that we wouldn't mind not having the previous info resored as there really wasn't much there anyways.

Gutsy was released and AllHands is now over. I will be writing to the locoteams mailing list. I can't believe it's so hard to just at least say "we don't care" which is the general feeling I get out of this.

Sorry for my past (unhelpful) comment, as noted by Elmo on IRC. :( The problem resolution process is not clear for these resources, I'll see how / where it can be improved.

Matt Newzum pointed me back to #canonical-sysadmin, our RT ticket (#287) seems to be moving and I was told we should have news within 1 week.

Fabián,

DNS for www.ubuntu-co.org and wiki.ubuntu-co.org have been changed to 91.189.94.191. If nothing else needs to be done, let me know, and I'll close this issue.

Hey, is this issue closed?

Then... that means we can start working on the website now?

Hello, this problem is there and we just need to change the DNS of ubuntu-co.org to:

ns1.bluehost.com
ns2.bluehost.com

Thanks

Instead of switching DNS, it would be much easier if you can provide the IP of the server hosting the sites. We can make that update quickly.
