On most pages of Launchpad, there is one "object" this page is about. E.g. a project's page, a user's page etc. If you are authorized to do that, you can "change details" of this object. But the appearance of that link is quite different, I will try and list the different ways for that link.
I'd suggest to find a consistent appearance of that link, that is
- position (on the upper right of a page, rather than right next to the title of the object?)
- - not in the box on the right, where you sometimes have the links related to the object?
- Symbol (black pencil on yellow background)
- Text (on the right of that symbol?) "Change details"
As an example, see the screenshot for the page of my user as it appears to me:
The link is on the upper right, and there's the symbol and text saying "Change details"
