Bug Description

"Overview" is an awkward name for the main tab for an object. Sometimes the "Overview" page really is an overview of all available applications for that object, but often it is not.

One possibility would be to rename "Overview" to the type of object. So for example, a team page might have
    Team | Code | Bugs | Blueprints | Translations | Answers
while a source package has
    Package | (Code) | Bugs | (Blueprints) | Translations | Answers
and a distribution series has
    Series | (Code) | Bugs | Blueprints | Translations | (Answers)
etc.

If done, this should be implemented at the same time as bug 87497. The particular case of the distribution page is bug 77700.

Application front pages now have a "Launchpad Home" tab instead of an "Overview" tab.

Martin what do you intend to do? rename "overview" or remove it?. Removing it appears harder to do now that we are removing the extra headings and breadcrumbs that would appear on a pillar index. eg: Where is the linke to get to the overview from https://bugs.launchpad.net/?

Changed in launchpad-registry:
milestone: 2.2.8 → 3.0

I think we should drop the tab, the breadcrumbs and the logo should both take you back.
We can always revert if this turns out to annoy users, but I feel it's the right think to do.

This seems to imply we want to work on the branding bugs too.
1. Make the icon a link to the pillar
2. unless it is the +index
3. if the owner is seeing +index add an edit link below it
4. and if the logo is not set show a logo that says "change me"

Source packages hardly ever have their own logos, and probably never will. And clicking the Ubuntu logo to navigate to a source package page rather than the Ubuntu page would be rather strange. See also bug 428665 on the confusing navigation of source-package-related pages.
