ec2test doesn't work with python-boto 1.8

Bug Description

ec2test fails with a version mismatch if you try to run it with the default python-boto in karmic,

$ ./utilities/ec2test.py --headless --<email address hidden> -s '[r=henninge][ui=none] Move pocket to registry.'
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "./utilities/ec2test.py", line 67, in <module>
    raise RuntimeError(' '.join(msg))
RuntimeError: Your version of python-boto (1.8d) is not supported. See https://wiki.canonical.com/Launchpad/Experiments/FiveMinutesPQM for instructions, or search for "python-boto" among the PPAs at https://launchpad.net/~launchpad/+archive/ppa. WARNING: it looks like your version of python-boto might not be from a debian package. It may be masking the version installed by the package manager.
