Bug Description
In the process of KDE SC update from version 4.5.2 to 4.5.3 several important packages are removed (as shown by KPackageKit) in addition to updating some other packages. As a result of this update desktop environment is not launched after Kubuntu is restarted and it is only possible to work using command line interface.

It is related to bug 670788 Updating KDE 4.5.1 -> 4.5.3 in Kubuntu 10.10 requires removal of necessary packages: it happens if you proceed with the update, which automatically removes the shown packages and then restart Kubuntu.
