Bug Description

It would be nifty to have a keyboard shortcut that would let you switch to your last used tool. This would come in handy if you are swapping between two tools for a while, etc.

Make it something easy like alt-q or ctrl-q.

<Ctrl-q> is taken (exit Inkscape). <Space> is similar to your feature request (switches to the Selector tool temporarily; another Space switches back). On the other hand all tools have single-letter shortcuts - to toggle for example between 'Bezier tool' and 'Node tool', use 'b' and 'n'; or to toggle between 'Spray' and 'Tweak', use 'a' and 'w'.

Oh ok, well noted. I guess I just have to learn and get used to the commands. :)

I agree with trusktr that it can be a very useful feature and it felt like a nice way to get my feet wet with Inkscape.
So, here's my attempt to implement it. I used <Shift-q> for the shortcut.

Sorry, I realised there was a bug in the previous patch I posted. Fingers crossed, this one is OK.
