Bug Description

Hi,

I have several reports in Fedora 29 and higher:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1742949
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1740132
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1739855

about not being able to install certain printer models. Models mentioned in reports are:

hp laserjet professional p1102w
HP LaserJet 100 colorMFP M175nw
hp laserjet cp 1025nw

There were several changes regarding those models in 3.19.1:

- p1102w - hpcups.drv and models.dat entries were removed. There are still entries for "p_1102w", but the printer reports itself as "p1102w"
- cp 1025nw - the same situation as previous one - there is a cp1025nw entry, but the printer reports itself as "cp 1025nw"
- M175nw and other "brothers" - because of removal of their specific section, where ppd-name was defined (and that's how the correct driver was found), users can not install them.

There are probably other printer models affected, but I have reports only for those.

Would you mind accepting the patch reverting those changes? It is attached to the ticket.

Is this patch applied in Fedora?

Yes, they're applied - I have the authority, because I'm a hplip maintainer in Fedora.
